Schools
The Community Rail Partnership works closely with local schools, colleges and youth organisations in order to encourage a greater awareness of the line and its importance to the community. There are many aspects of the railway which can be incorporated into the curriculum, e.g. history, buying tickets, safety and interpretation of timetables. We can also arrange special trips and guided tours for school groups, and even provide transport for school trips. For some children , a journey on the Abbey Line could be their first experience of a train! If you or your school, college or organisation is interested in getting involved with the Community Rail Partnership, please contact the CRP officer. |
