Guide to the route and stations
Below is an interactive route map of the Abbey Line in its entirety. For instructions on how to manipulate the map, please see the bottom of the page.

For a list of facilities at each station and for Live Departure Boards, please follow the links underneath the map.

For more detailed maps of the area surrounding each station, including the nearest bus stops, please visit out Bus connections page.

Note that there are two stations in St Albans, which are not connected by rail. It is a pleasant walk between the two, which takes about 20-25mins. For a walking route which avoids the steep Holywell Hill, please visit our Rail connections page.

Instructions for manipulating the map

The stations on the map are marked using little blue train symbols. Hover the cursor over the little red 'double arrow' symbol beneath each blue train symbol to identify the station name.

You can zoom in on any part of the map, scroll up and down, left or right, by using the controls in the top left hand corner.

Alternatively, to zoom in on a station from this map, you can left click on the relevant train symbol. A white 'callout' should appear. Then click on the little blue arrow next to 'more' and select 'Zoom here'. This will also reveal the location of the nearest bus stops.
